I like to get emotionally attached to another anim

I like to get emotionally attached to another animal when I go on holiday so that I don’t miss my pets at home too much. This trip it was this little ginge who we called Barb who would pop up at different spots on the resort and follow us 🥰

There were actually quite a lot of kittens (and chickens) who are all so friendly and get fed by all of the staff and guests. They are welcomed and given a fuss by everyone. It was such a lovely change from when you usually see a stray on holiday and they are shewed away and treated like vermin. I love Barbados for that. Everyone is so friendly 💘

I’ll never tire of these sunrises.

I’ve always wanted to travel to the sunshine in January. It’s super quiet for me at work and a lot of people in my industry are away. When I go away in the summer I usually combine holidays with shoots and am still always on my emails so January is the perfect time to try to switch off since I’m not missing any work. After 12 years of my career I’ve finally done it and feel so grateful to be here.

I’ve LOVED taking photos out here; the pink, pastel skies and orange sun and sunrise and sunset is so dreamy. And I’ve been creating moodboards for my Vintage Pink shoots but that’s only the fun, creative parts 💫✈️💘

First morning in Barbados and feeling so grateful

First morning in Barbados and feeling so grateful having a coffee and watching sunrise on an almost empty beach 🙏🏼☀️

I’ve been experimenting with not drinking alcohol since October. I do enjoy drinking but would get so frustrated the following day when I felt rubbish and that started happening after just one of two drinks. It was challenging saying no over Christmas and I did have a few glasses of champagne. Coming to Barbados though I really wanted to feel fresh and happy and I love mornings when I’m on holiday - it’s my favourite part of the day doing a little exercise and having breakfast when the world is calm and sleepy. I know that I won’t enjoy them in the same way if I’m drinking the night before so want to try not to. I’m jealous of people that can do both but I can’t.

Our U.K. body clock means that waking up at 4am feels really natural so we went with it and saw sunrise on the beach at 6am (then actually hit the gym). It’s something I’ve never done before and loved it. Going to try and see every sunrise on this trip. That probably means early nights and missing some of the evening time but I’m cool with that because I feel I’ve holidayed a lot that way before.

I always get a bit anxious the couple of days before I fly. My brain goes into a bit of a negative spiral of listing me all of the things that can go wrong from minor things to death. Covid hasn’t helped that. Having a friend stay at my flat with the 🦁🦁 boys is nice and calming and I usually feel much better when I’m on the plane.

I’ve never flown business class before and upgraded with Amex points that I had gathered this year doing buying for Vintage Pink.

Was honestly such a cool experience, so cosy lay back in my little cocoon I didn’t want to get off the plane. Also had Liam Gallagher sat in front.
