With this beautiful English weather (solid weeks of sunshine), I kept seeing such amazing evening light where the sun would set and backlight everything in such an enchanting way. I wanted to capture that and hoped that the day of the shoot we would get the light that I wanted. Typically when relying on UK weather, it was overcast all day and I thought that we weren’t going to be lucky. We met to shoot at 4pm and the sun started peeking through the clouds and by the end of the shoot we had a full golden hour.
For styling I asked for sheer, floral fabrics that would catch the light. I chose Barnes common to shoot. I preferred the yellow tone of the long grass and avoiding any bright greenery. I wanted the landscape to feel a bit desolate and destroyed, not flourishing.
Enjoy the Vlog…
